With no shortage of dreamy backgrounds, Native Texas foliage, and a perfect view of the State Capital. Waterloo Greenway is a perfect location for couples and young professionals. The surprisingly intimate setting on a micro footprint has an ideal shoot time of 7am-9am and 4pm-sunset all year long. Red Bud Isle
Red Bud Isle has an abundant selection of scenes for portraits right on the water. If you’re patient enough to avoid high time you’ll find this place especially magical. With limited parking being the only barrier to entry, it’s a great spot for families and especially those with canine friends. West 6th District
If what you want is a shoot in the urban heart of Austin then look no further than West 6th. Complete with colorful surfaces and neon signs the location gives off a certain Grunge Appeal. Perfect for couples, young professionals, and musicians. Butler Metro Park and Auditorium Shores
Butler Metro Park is a fanciful spot for kids and adults alike. With water features and Ladybird Lake in the vicinity. You’ll have skyline views and a playscape like you’ve never seen before all in one spot. Many of Downtown’s best attractions are within walking distance including Auditorium Shores, the James D. Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge, and the Fannie Davis Town Lake Gazebo. Sekrit Theater
One of East Austin’s famed gems, Sekrit Theater brings a wonderland of possibilities for micro-weddings and portrait shoots alike. With the main attraction being an Antique Greenhouse there’s also a lounge bus, a large pavillion, and many other small wonders to discover. The property is mostly booked in private One Hour time blocks with booking rates determined by the event type and whether the photos are for commercial or personal use.
