Fotohouse Studio Workshop

Looking to get creative? Maybe you want to build your own scene or create images in a completely controlled environment? Look no further than Fotohouse Austin. Located in the heart of Downtown, Fotohouse Studio offers hourly sessions(2hr min) in their fully equipped and all inclusive photo studio. Not only is this type of setting ideal for consistent results in product photography but it’s also a fantastic setting to let your imagination run wild.

Here I’ve featured Iba Thiam and Ron Wayne, two local artists with no shortage of talent.

This shoot was part of a photographer’s workshop with the one and only Chisum Pierce, an accomplished Editorial photographer and Co-owner of Fotohouse.

The other participants and I had the privilege of a hands on studio demo with Chisum while he taught us about his strategies for luring out a subject’s personality, working on limited time, and reading the room with high profile talent.

Fotohouse Studio and all of it’s equipment is available for rent on an hourly basis, features ample prep space for makeup/hair/wardrobe, and includes a separate lounge space filled with natural light.

As a photographer, I had the incredible opportunity to be a participant in a captivating portrait personality workshop at Fotohouse Studio in Downtown Austin. It was an invigorating experience to step out of my usual role behind the camera and immerse myself in a creative learning environment.

During the workshop, I eagerly absorbed the knowledge and expertise shared by instructor Chisum Pierce. From creative lighting techniques to exploring composition and posing, every aspect of portrait photography was covered. The studio provided an ideal setting to experiment and refine my skills, with its range of backdrops and professional-grade equipment at our disposal.

What truly stood out during this workshop was the camaraderie and sense of community among fellow participants. We connected over our shared passion for photography, exchanged ideas, and inspired each other with our unique perspectives. The workshop created an environment of collaboration and encouragement, where we learned not only from the instructor but also from one another.

If you're a fellow photographer looking to expand your skills, gain inspiration, and connect with a vibrant community, I highly recommend participating in a portrait personality workshop at Fotohouse Studio in Downtown Austin. It's an opportunity to learn, grow, and create stunning portraits that capture the essence of your subjects in a truly unique way. Don't miss out on this enriching experience next time it comes around!
